Berkeley, a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, a weblogger at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, and a fellow of the Institute for New Economic Thinking.  Prior to this, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the Clinton Administration. Holding a Ph.D. from Harvard University, his latest book is titled, Slouching Towards Utopia: An Economic History of the Twentieth Century.
