In this first part of a two-episode journey into Dartmoor’s otherworldly landscape, Claire Casely is joined by Ian to explore a remarkable fairy encounter. Ian recalls a hot summer day whilst crossing an old bridge over a river, when he noticed a young girl, on the riverbank below, dressed in striking, almost old-fashioned black-and-white clothing — immaculate, unexpected, and strangely out of place.
