On this episode of WG: The annoying reluctance to quit Facebook, the NBA's not-so grey coaching dilemma, comedienne Sophie Duker on the rules for black comedians and the government SUDDENLY caring about 'critical race theory'.

In a week where:

  1. Banksy's "Show Me The Monet" has sold for £7.5m ($9.8m).
  2. After the public backlash towards the Tories over Marcus Rashford’s proposal for kid school meals, Tories now demand a U-Turn from the gov't.
  3. Lewis Hamilton dominates the Portuguese GP to achieve his World Record-breaking 92nd win.
  4. Amy Coney Barrett is sworn in as Trump’s third Supreme Court Justice.
  5. Scientists have found evidence that frozen methane deposits in the Arctic Ocean have started to be released over a large area of the continental slope off the East Siberian coast.

In the first of two Life segments: (9:12) The New Statesman's Pippa Bailey meditates on doing what I and everyone needs to do, quitting Facebook; referencing Netflix' "The Social Dilemma" as a catalyst.

In Sports: (23:48) The NBA has a wealth of black Assistant Coaches, but the air starts to thin when it comes to black Head Coaches. Former player Etan Thomas highlights the intangible importance of a black Head Coach.

In Film/TV: (36:14) After an appearance on Frankie Boyle's "New World Order", comedienne Sophie Duker did the rounds on certain racist platforms. She writes a quippy response to the backlash & the rules that black comedians still face in 2020.

Finally, in the 2nd Life segment: (50:10) Last week The House of Commons, for the first time ever, had the term "Critical Race Theory" mentioned in a debate. The reasons for which are, of course, backward yet unsurprising.
