Ep. 102 – Slumber Party Massacre

Welcome scaredy cats, it’s our second episode of Slasher September! Today’s classic slasher is Amy Holden Jones’ 1982 drillfest: SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE. We chat a little bit about Sophie B. Hawkins’ secret language, BEETHOVEN, and our coverage of TIFF’s Midnight Madness! Chris tells us about the 1971 giallo THE BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA, and Dave talks about Shudder’s LAST ONES OUT. Then, after briefly discussing Shudder, TENEBRAE, and our memories of SCREAM, we really get into it. We discuss peeping toms, conflicting production visions, final girl showdowns, confusing nudity, snail chopping, eating pizza off of corpses, parody/comedy in slashers, garage door continuity, and power drill logic. It’s another great Slasher September episode of the TEXCHRIS DAVESAW MASSACRE! Continue reading → Texchris Davesaw Massacre - A Horror Movie Podcast is made with Jetpack Podcast.
