Episode 106 includes an exclusive interview with Greg Thomas. Greg talks about his journey as a football player and how he got to the University of Arkansas. While he was there, he talks about what got him through college football and the struggles he faced as a black quarterback. He was the first black quarterback to ever start for the University of Arkansas and at the time he played, there was only eight other black quarterbacks in college football. Thomas saw great success being the starter for the team three years in a row and making many bowl games. After college, Thomas decided he needed to go back to Texas and help his community. While helping kids in trouble getting their diploma, Thomas was offered to be an assistant coach at East Plano high school in Texas. Greg and I discuss the ups and downs of coaching.
