“I think I could put on something that's really what I'm looking for. You know, it's like if you don't see something out in the world, you go and create it, right? So that's kind of what it was about.”Kirk Cherep started Trailblazer Running because he wanted to create events that he would love. He wanted to bring runners together to participate in the kind of event that he would be interested in participating in himself. He’s created these events and they are even giving back to the community through the Trail Mix Fund and sponsoring youth runners. Being on the trails means so much to Kirk that he wants to share it with as many others as he can.“I have this saying whenever I out in a beautiful place, “Oh, this really fills up my soul right now.” We get so much out of those places. We should be giving back to them. So I like to do things that are helping give back to the land or help build the trails that we're on, or take care of the flora and the fauna that's in the areas that we're running through.”Kirk was a lot of fun to chat with and I’m glad he came on to share a bit of what he’s all about.
