Ep 107: Old School Salsa
from Radio Menea Hosted by Verónica Bayetti Flores and Miriam Zoila Pérez
You know the ones. The songs where your head starts bopping to the claves, you can’t help the movement at the first sound of the guiro, the full hips and everything explosion when the horn section makes its glorious appearance. This week we dig into the classic salsa that feels like it’s been with us forever, and that we’re never letting go. Featuring music by Puerto Rican Power, Los Adolescentes, Oscar D’Leon, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Joe Arroyo, Sonora Carruseles and Luis Florez. ***A quick note that Vero was traveling and recording on new equipment for this episode and had some…snafus? Bear with us thru the somewhat busted sound beibis, sorryyyyyy!
