Read the Book: Peter Boghossian: 'A Manual for Creating Atheists' http://tinyurl.com/SE-PB-AMFCA Playlist of Danny http://tinyurl.com/PL-AM-SE-DANNY I unexpectedly ran into Danny again after just arriving to the trail. My equipment was not fully setup, and I was not intending to even formally interview Danny again, but before long it was clear that we were engaged in a friendly conversation about a variety of topics. You many notice that I deviated from SE many times during this talk, because I ended up telling Danny many things about my position on atheism and many other topics. Like Dr. Peter Boghossian has said, it''s important to adapt and meet people where they are at. Danny appeared to be ready for my views, so I decided to share those with him here. I also think many others can learn more about my motivations, positions, and goals when I conduct SE when they watch this encounter. I chose to not raise the camera all the way and instead keep our silhouettes in frame for the majority of the conversation, as many people have asked to see my body language during my talks. Danny is an intriguing individual and extremely honest with himself. Please let him know that there is a supportive, loving community waiting for people who are ready to discard their unsupported supernatural beliefs. Dedicated to Olivia and the next generation of Street Epistemology practitioners like her. Music: 'Close My Mouth' by Silent Partner provided by YouTube. Music provided by Chet Hovatter. Mistakes: It wasn't a hill or goat, but a mountain and a lamb. I probably shouldn't have laughed about the brutal comments people have left on Caleb's video. Caleb seems like a decent man who is simply very passionate about his beliefs. I'm fairly confident that deep down he is worried about non-believers and wants to help people. I should have asked Danny if he was holding a belief in prayer without evidence, in much the same way Caleb did not have evidence to support his beliefs. Perhaps next time. When Danny asked what I got out of doing these talks, I responded with what motivates me. I should have responded with: https://twitter.com/magnabosco/status/809987799571120132 Please let me know if you notice any mistakes so that I can address them here for self-improvement. Video captured using Go-Pro Video edited using PowerDirector The views addressed here are mine and mine alone, and are not necessarily views shared by members of my family and friends.
