EP 11 | Cactus Cat, Cocked & Loaded

from Aloreing · host Kimberly Hammons & Ryan Huskins

Hey Campers! This week Kimmy and Ryan are heading out to the neon deserts of Nevada, a place known for glittering casinos, questionable life choices made at 3 a.m., and miles of lonely desert hiding stories stranger than anything on the Strip. Join them as they discuss the legends of two bizarre creatures said to roam the desert after dark. First up is the Cactus Cat, a prickly little menace rumored to slash open cacti just to get drunk off the fermented juice inside. The second one is the Hell dogs, ghostly hounds said to guard forgotten gold and chase away anyone brave (or dumb) enough to wander too close to abandoned mines of El Dorado Canyon. Along the way Ryan debates whether he could win a fight with a cactus cat, Kimmy refuses to enter a mine shaft under any circumstances, and the two try to decide which cryptid would make the worst possible house pet. We hope y’all enjoy this episode of Aloreing , and remember campers.. cock your gun and maybe don’t try and pet every wild animal you see.🎙️ Don’t forget to subscribe to Aloreing today for more tales of the strange and unexplained! 🎙️🏕️🌌 Explore the world of Aloreing Today!🌲Check out the full transcript, illustrations, and additional resources on our website: Aloreing.com🌲Join the conversation on Instagram and Discord, check out podcast updates, share your artwork, and engage with the aloreing community!: instagram.com/aloreingpodcast  |   / discord🌲 Join our monthly moon mail club and get folklore/cryptid inspired artwork mailed to you every month -  aloreingshop.com 🌲 Get exclusive Aloreing merch and help support an indie podcast today! -  aloreingshop.com
