EP 11: John Palmer | From Bluegrass to Blue Water—Lessons in Farm Philosophy and Navy Leadership

Rear Admiral (retired) John Palmer applies a wealth of professional experience to his consulting projects. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School holding a Master of Science degree in Systems Management (Acquisition & Contract Management) and the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Senior Executive Program. John Palmer is the owner of JT Palmer Enterprises, LLC—a South Carolina corporation. In this capacity, he serves as an independent consultant (advising clients and associates on logistics and small business matters) and author (developing and writing multiple titles for his publisher (Fidelis Publishing-Nashville)). In conjunction with his authorship, Mr. Palmer serves as a public speaker to an array of civic groups throughout the southeast. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities, including Columbia University’s (NYC) Graduate School of Business Advanced Management Program (AMP) for senior executives, the United States Naval Academy’s classes for Ethics and Moral Reasoning, and The Citadel NROTC’s soon-to-be commissioned Navy ensigns and Marine Corps second lieutenants. (formerly known as UVSheltron Inc.) located in Pontiac, Michigan. Sheltron consists of two divisions: EVSheltron designs and manufactures the rapidly deployable, mobile, customizable, multi-charger BoostHub—Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations, and UVSheltron designs and manufactures ultraviolet light devices used for disinfection of rooms and objects of harmful pathogens as well as purification of air in common spaces.
