EP 110: Lyme Disease, MS or Cancer? One Tick Bite Changed Everything.

After a tick bite in 2020, Dr. Kristi Hellenbrand's life changed dramatically. A Doctor of Chiropractic, author and patient advocate, Kristi went from running a busy chiropractic practice and caring for life on her farm to a rapid decline in her health. Within months, she lost the sensation in her legs, needed a cane and eventually lost the ability to walk. Doctors considered multiple sclerosis (MS) or cancer. When Lyme disease was finally suspected, Kristi began treatment and experienced some improvement. However, her symptoms returned after stopping IV antibiotics, leaving her searching for a more effective path forward. In this episode, Dr. Kristi shares her Lyme disease journey, from the frightening onset of symptoms to receiving confirmation through Vibrant testing and ultimately pursuing the Horowitz Protocol. She explains why she viewed this approach as "the big guns" and how it became a turning point in her recovery. Today, Kristi is back to helping others through her chiropractic practice, patient advocacy work, and educational outreach. She is passionate about helping people find answers, navigate testing options, and understand that they are not alone in their health journey.
