The Texas Rollergirls, which skate on a flat track, and Texas Roller Derby, one of only a handful of banked track leagues in the country. TXRD, as it is known, has a new season starting this month, and we brought in Jenna Johnson, a veteran member of the Cherry Bombs, to talk about what it takes to make it in derby, why the sport has grown so much in popularity and how this skater-owned league continues to thrive.
