Ep 112: Babylon
from The Dive-In Moviecast Hosted by Hayden Koutras
One doesn't become a star.. you either are one or you ain't. This week on The Dive-In, co-host Hayden Koutras is joined by recurring guest Joe Depakakibo of The Kyber Culture to discuss all the insanity that is Damien Chazelle's 'Babylon'. We chat why we both enjoyed the movie so much, the depiction of Hollywood on screen as an industry dominated by Excess and Debauchery, the divisive reaction to the film and why it might not work for some viewers, which characters and plot-lines worked the most for us, the stand-out moments of Spectacle & Chaos, some ideas about what the movie's themes are trying to say, before ending off discussing the truly ABSURD ending in all of it's glory and why it's simultaneously such a big and silly swing.
