EP 112 - BK Love - Live@ Pride Parade Missoula - Starlight Thursdays Episode 112

Let’s tune into a BK Love live recording that took place on a parade float during Missoula pride. I’ve never experienced anything like this. It was amazing to DJ a moble dance party surrounded by thousands of people in the streets. To make matters more interesting rain came down on and off creating a silly game of keep the DJ gear dry and the beats extra enticing. The energy was amazing and dancing in the rain seemed perfectly fine. There were tons of wet and colorful LGBTQ + dancing and marching around the float. It was like the sky opened up and rainbows filled the city blocks. I chose to play mellower style deep house and a little techno. I chose tracks that have a mood I felt would warm up those standing around waiting to march together. As the float began to drive I picked up the beat adding more energy. I looked for tracks with lyrics that would create an underlying theme. “We are who we are and we’re PROUD of it”. It was an absolute honor to be apart of it. Huge thanks to all the people who came out and stood together for their belief in creating a safe world for the LGBTQ + community to thrive in.
