Ep. 112: On The Front Lines With Linda Sarsour (feat. Linda Sarsour)

from The Michael Moore Podcast · host Michael Moore

Linda Sarsour is an organizer and activist who has been on the frontlines of every major battle against creeping fascism, the Trump administration, state violence, and attacks on all marginalized communities. Along with Tamika Mallory, Carmen Perez and Bob Bland, she organized the Women's March in Washington D.C. on January 21, 2017, the largest protest in American history. Since then, she has been fighting the administration on it's Muslim ban, on criminal justice reform, along with her continued advocacy for Arab and Muslim Americans and for the Palestinian people. She joins Michael discuss the urgent need to remove Trump from office, how Democrats should (and should not) bring out Muslim and Arab voters in key swing states such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas and Florida, and her decision to move to Louisville, Kentucky in the middle of a pandemic to fight for justice for Breonna Taylor. ********** Read Linda's book, "We Are Not Here to Be Bystanders: A Memoir of Love and Resistance" https://bookshop.org/a/1381/9781982105167 or https://amzn.to/3aLSUZW Support "Until Freedom" and fight for justice for Breonna Taylor: https://untilfreedom.com/ The film Michael mentions is "This Is Personal" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9673138/ Tell Joe Biden's campaign that in order to win, they must value and respect Muslim and Arab-Americans and they must respect Linda Sarsour, a progressive, Arab and Muslim leader: https://act.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/a/tell-biden-to-apologize-to-linda ********* A transcript of this conversation is available here:  https://rumble.media/episode/112-on-the-front-lines-with-linda-sarsour/ ********* Rumble with Michael Moore listeners - protect your online privacy with ExpressVPN!
