Maria talks about her upcoming visit to Washington State University’s Pullman campus where she will be honored with the Edward R.Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award  from the Murrow College of Communication.  She will receive the award and give the keynote address at the 48th Annual Murrow Symposium. Maria is the first Latina/ Latino to receive the distinguished honor. Maria Hinojosa is the longtime host of Latino USA on NPR. She is the founder of Futuro Media , a journalism non-profit that reports on issues often overlooked by mainstream media.
