In 1978, five young men went to a basketball game a few towns over from their own, and never returned home. Months later, the emaciated and frozen remains of four of them were found scattered in the woods some 50 miles from the route they would have been driving. The whereabouts of the fifth man (Gary Mathias) remains unknown, as do the “how" and “why" of his friends’ fate. This week, Hannah tells Katy the story of the Yuba County Five, an unsolved mystery that still haunts those involved to this day.
