While the reverberations of the pandemic are still being felt and both the commercial and artistic sides of comedy have been changed forever, there is hope springing eternal in new venues that have blossomed. Thanks to the blood, sweat, tears, and compassion of one Nicole Blaine, a longtime producer and comedian, her club, The Crow, represents a new oasis for comedy in a veritable comedy desert  on the Westside of LA (both the county and the city) relative to LA's thriving Eastside. We talk to her about establishing a comedy club in the now, in an artist colony, hand built chairs, and, of course, free Santa Monica parking.
