Ep. 116 Trump's an avalanche of bad news

President Donald Trump proclaimed weeks ago the U.S. military was “locked and loaded” to help Iranians seeking freedom, and that “help was on the way.” Every day that passes, more Iranians are being killed. So, Team Trump has decided to go to the negotiating table—not to determine the exit strategy of the mullahs, but to talk about nukes. Talkj about your mixed messages. Any agreement that’s achieved would be torn up upon the time a new president takes office. The talk of negotiations is simply a stall tactic of the mullahs. In fact, they believe their continued threats against the U.S. and Trump have prevented any U.S. military action. It’s a really ugly look for Trump.Meanwhile, his National Prayer Breakfast comments underscore his massive ego and incessant need to personally attack others. It’s conduct unbecoming of the event and someone should’ve pulled him from the stage. It’s a failure to act presidential for a serious spiritual event.The GOP got bad news one week ago when a Texas state senate special election allowed Democrats to flip a seat. The Democrat won a district that Trump won by +17 in 2024. Any race demands quality candidates, but it doesn’t bode well for Republicans in the midterm elections. Team Trump just saw the worst layoffs since the Great Recession. Trump and congressional Republicans have failed to deal with affordability issues. This is a public episode.
