I explain how simply shifting the work of planning onto trade partners does not create collaboration, it only hides the same imbalance under a new name. I share why true teamwork requires general contractors to lead with takt planning, structured pull planning, and filtered look-aheads that reduce waste instead of adding it. Along the way, I talk about the importance of purpose in our tools and meetings, reminding us that the goal is not to look collaborative but to actually work as one.
