Ep. 117 - Florida Panthers, Juneteenth Closings, MLS Status updates and Advertising Co-Operating Commissions

It is June and that means Father’s Day, Graduations and Juneteenth Celebrations. And you can not close on a house on June 19th! If I did not say it clearly enough, make sure you do not write a contract that calls for a closing on that day. And in 2027 when it falls on a Saturday, do not schedule a closing for the Friday before, when it will be observed on June 18th! And how about those Florida Panthers? Up 3-1 in the Stanley Cup Finals when we recorded this. Go Cats! Back to real estate please, we discuss updating the MLS once an offer is fully executed and becomes a binding contract. There is nothing worse than trying to show a house that shows Active in the MLS, only to be told it is under contract. What about bringing a Buyer for a back up when you know it is under contract? Find out! Speaking of the MLS, in 2 months time, the MLS will no longer be able to display the incentive offered to a Buyer’s agent from the Listing agent for bringing the Buyer. Want to know more?
