Journalists are doing something that hasn’t been done in recent Olympics: asking questions to get American athletes to engage in politics. It’s an agenda to get clickbait responses against President Donald Trump. Demand they ask questions of Chinese, Iranian, and even European athletes. Rebuke them for bringing politics into sports. And how among the Olympics organizing did they fail to tell athletes to avoid politics like the plague? We need more Breezy Johnsons, Lindsey Vonns, and Brady Tkachuks.Retired NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason pointed out a big problem in California right after the Super Bowl. He used Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold as an example of someone who will owe California money for duty days while being in the San Francisco area for Super Bowl LX. For winning the game Darnold and teammates earned $178,000 each. But that plus his salary for the duty days and the price tag is $249,000, causing the Super Bowl champion QB to owe California $71,000.
