Ep 117: Stubbornly Positive Heroes Series: "Russell Jacobson"
from Stubbornly Positive with Craig Grossi and Nora Parkington · host Stubbornly Positive Podcast
Introducing Stubbornly Positive Heroes Series! It is often said that stories live forever but that is only true when we make the choice to share them. This longer format and uncensored series is about people whose incredible stories would have faded away, without those who knew them making the Stubbornly Positive choice to ask the tough questions and share the answers. This week Nora and Craig are honored to help share the story of Vietnam Veteran, Russell Jacobson. A father, husband, friend and Navy Corpsman who was severely wounded after going above and beyond to render aid under intense fire to Marines in the jungles of Vietnam in 1967. Russell, who passed away in 2015 from lymphoma as a result of exposure to Agent Orange, is survived by his wife Peg, their 3 sons and their families. Listen in as Peg and her youngest son Dave, share their experience of life with Russel after Vietnam. And hear how Dave has worked to uncover the details about his Dad’s heroic actions, including meeting with an archivist at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. If you can assist their quest for a medal of valor for Russell, please contact us at [email protected] Here to watch this episode on YouTubeLink to the Plymouth Independent Article by Dave Kindy hereVisit our Website : www.fredtheafghan.com/stubbornlypositiveJoin Our Patreon Pack for Video Episodes and so much more: www.patreon.com/StubbornlyPositiveFollow us on Instagram! @StubbornlyPositive
