Ep. 12: Hashimoto's, Weight Loss, and Healing From Diet Trauma with Life and Functional Weight Loss Coach Stacy Luckey

from Diagnosis Redefined · host Erica Anderson

Stacy Luckey talks about how she turned her weight loss journey into a healing journey. Stacy Luckey is a Certified Life and Functional Weight Loss Coach who loves helping women heal from the inside out! She went on her first diet at the age of 14 and spent decades hopping from one fad diet to the next. At the age of 28, Stacy was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Overweight, depressed, and riddled with anxiety, she thought her diagnoses would finally make her skinny with a few pills from the doc! Fast forward through another decade of starvation diets and no resolution to her autoimmune symptoms, Stacy discovered life coaching. It was through mindset work where she learned that healing first would result in a healthy body, a healthy mind, and a healthy weight. Thriving as an anxious ADHDer and autoimmune warrior, Stacy helps other women find weight loss through healing the mind and body first! In this episode, you will learn how to ditch the diet mindset, what it means to focus on healing first, and how focusing on and treating weight gain on its own can keep you sick and stuck in a yo-yo dieting cycle. To connect with Stacy Luckey, check out her podcast Help!
