Raw, inspiring, and humbling- Rabia Khedr’s story is something we would like to make recommended listening for everyone.   Rabia Khedr has been blind since birth but that has not stopped her from becoming a super-achiever.  She has spent the better part of her life advocating for people with disabilities and for racial equity. She has founded Diversityworx and DEEN Support Services- both that help her serve the people she represents. She is also a founding member of CAM-D- the Canadian Association for Muslims of Disabilities. She has been the Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission and the Executive Director of the Muslim Council of Peel. She even ran for public office! While all these are great accomplishments in themselves, this spirited mother of four wins you over with her humility and sense of humor. Finance Podcraftr In this episode of the "Finance" podcast, Ujas departs from the usual financial discourse and journeys into an enchanting tale of a special fox named Luna, who lives in a mystical forest known as The Dreamy Forest. Unlike the average fox, Luna has the ability to understand the whispers of the cosmos. One night, driven by curiosity and consciousness, Luna embarks on a magical adventure, wherein she comes across an unknown path that leads her to a shimmering river and a silver swan. This swan takes Luna on a thrilling flight amongst the stars, where she receives a profound message about following her heart. Ultimately, Luna's adventures filled her dreams with magic and wisdom. This episode, despite its fantastical narrative departure from the podcast's normal theme, brilliantly conveys the importance of curiosity, bravery, and the intuition of one's heart, reminiscent of the brave decisions one makes in the world of finance. The case attracted huge press and public attention; accusations were plentiful, but an inquest returned an open verdict.Almost 90 years after this mysterious death, an extensive three-year investigation involving a re-examination of the police files, combined with an in-depth look at Norma’s family, raises questions about the rigour of the original investigation. In 1719, at the age of 17, when she was on her way across Europe to marry James Stuart, the Catholic pretender to the British throne, Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska was kidnapped and held prisoner by Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, with the approval of his ally, the Protestant king of England. The king feared that the marriage would produce heirs who might raise a rebellion against the Crown, though Stuart’s own rebellion had failed four years earlier. But Irish soldier of fortune and Stuart's ablest spy, hatches a daring plot to rescue the princess. Filled with spies, romance, palace intrigue and uncertain loyalties, this is the story of how Charles Wogan, once indicted for High Treason in Protestant England, set out to play his part on the international stage. Failure would mean certain death at the hands of Wogan's powerful enemies. But would success bring the result he expects? (Jacquerie)Proofli
