Ep. 12 - Robyn Kass
from Casting Stories Untold Hosted by Bethany and Danny
Join us for an exciting deep dive into the world of reality TV casting with Robyn Kass, owner of Kassting, inc and a true pioneer in unscripted television! Robyn spills the tea on her incredible career, starting with her own experience as an 18-year-old dating show contestant. She shares starting the first all-service reality casting company, and the initial fear of working outside traditional production offices. We remember the "good old days" of casting- recruiting at fraternities and sororities, going to bars with a clipboard & Polaroid, and receiving VHS submissions by mail. Hear about casting challenges like the "exes" twist on Big Brother and anecdotes from a "reality show movie" (including running from cops at a party). Robyn shares about the "tall guy wall" in her office, and we discuss the finals process for some of our favorite shows! Robyn is the Season Finale guest you don’t want to miss!
