Ep. 12: Using Art to Communicate & the Wonder of the Oceans - Marine Wildlife Artist Olivier Leger

In this 12th episode of the podcast, I sat down with professional marine wildlife artist, Olivier Leger. Ollie is an incredible artist. He paints large scale works that are also very intricate and detailed. He is currently working on a massive project called ‘Atlas’ which he talked about in depth during our conversation. From 27th June - 19th July this Summer, Ollie will be exhibiting his work at the LCB Depot in Leicester, UK. He will also be working on Atlas at the exhibition itself, so you will be able to watch him in the process of his craft and witness the journey of creating the finished work. In this conversation Ollie shared with us: - How he attempts to use his art as a medium to educate and inspire people, about the wonders that are the oceans. - His process for working on paintings and creating art. - The issues and threats the oceans face, and what we can do to help the situation. - How starkly different a healthy reef vs. an unhealthy reef looks.
