Ep 1222 | Goodell Makes Nielsen and ESPN Offers They Can't Refuse, McAfee Wins

Roger Goodell is making Nielsen and ESPN offers they cannot refuse. Pat McAfee is the real winner. Super Bowl ratings slipped, and now the NFL is threatening the people who count the people watching. Front Office Sports reports the NFL is unhappy with Nielsen’s new 2026-27 formula — especially co-viewing — and Paul Ballew says the early results look really negative. Jason turns these maneuverings into a "Godfather" part one analogy that you must hear and see. ➢ Show Outline 00:00 - Nielsen's New Ratings Formula and NFL Concerns 01:58 - The NFL's Struggle With Super Bowl Ratings 03:16 - The Muddled Mess Haunting the NFL 04:47 - Roger Goodell Threats and the Future of the NFL 05:59 - ESPN Strategy and Pat McAfee's Rise 08:58 - NFL Embrace of Gambling and Distance From Wokeness 11:01 - The Godfather Analogy and the NFL Future 14:54 - Overexposure of Pat McAfee 26:03 - ESPN Shift From Debate to Authenticity 31:22 - Nikola Jokic and Nuggets Mismanagement 38:50 - Kevin Stefanski Coaching Dilemma in Atlanta 48:51 - The Problem With Inherited Power in Sports ➢ Follow Our GUESTS https://www.youtube.com/@skap_attack https://x.com/SteveKim323 ➢ Subscribe to Jason's other channel https://www.youtube.com/JasonWhitlock?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockHarmony?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockBYOG?sub_confirmation=1 https://www.youtube.com/@JasonWhitlockClips?sub_confirmation=1 ➢ Connect with Jason on Social Media:  https://x.com/JasonWhitlock  https://www.instagram.com/realjasonwhitlock/ https://www.facebook.com/jasonwhitlock ➢ Send Jason an Email [email protected] ➢ Support The Blaze Visit https://TheBlaze.com.
