Geneva Skeen is a Los Angeles-based artist and composer, whose music explores the contrast between the depleting resources of the physical world, and the apparent relentlessness of digital representations. Her latest release, A Parallel Array of Horses, is her first for Lawrence English's Room40. The album melds recordings of voice and the environment alongside various electronics, in order to toy with time, and embody some form of mutant consciousness. Her mix for us tonight is more upfront - at times confrontational or comforting.
