Ep. 127: Riddle Me This: When Does The Batmobile Become A Hydro Plane?

The Joker from the 1989 film Batman said it best:  “Where does he get those wonderful toys?”  This is a question that is quintessential to Batman, as no matter the iteration, he has an amazing array of gadgets and gizmos to help him fight crime in Gotham City.  The latest movie version, The Batman, is no exception.  He flies through the city in an impressive gliding suit, races the Batmobile around a rain soaked city without losing control, and repurposes cattle prods into electrocution gloves.  The other thing that is core to Batman is his intellect.  He isn’t called “The Dark Knight Detective” for nothing, and he uses every IQ point to solve The Riddler’s riddles.  In this episode, we take a look at the curious ciphers that The Riddler leaves, and compare them to the ones left behind by The Zodiac Killer.  We also explain the difference between a cipher and a code, as well as explaining either can be used as an analogue form of encryption.
