As many as 80% of adults with ADHD have at least one coexisting psychiatric disorder, including mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and even personality disorders like bipolar disorder. When I was diagnosed with ADHD this summer, I was also diagnosed with PMDD. But there are other conditions that people with ADHD are at higher risk for also having, so today we're talking about common co-occurring conditions and what treatment can look like.
