Ep. 128 - Laurie MacCaskill

from Small Changes Big Shifts · host Dr. Michelle Robin

Imagine you were diagnosed with what has been deemed the world's toughest cancer, Pancreatic cancer and it is now 12 years later and you are still living a full and healthy life. How did you get here? Laurie MacCaskill's story is one of truth, hard work, a sunny mindset and full of inspiration.  Laurie likes to say her "healthy denial" mindset is what truly made the difference in her fight with pancreatic cancer as she strived to live her life as normally as possible even with her diagnosis. By celebrating small victories in her treatment and everyday life, she was able to take control of her diagnosis and move forward each and every day. She is now taking her own life lessons and sharing them with cancer patients, caregivers and more all over the country through coaching, speaking and writing. Her story is still being written but she is using her experiences as a cancer survivor to help others write their own chapters and live out their own happy endings.
