This week, we discuss: • Newegg Scam? The company knowingly sent out defective products and denied returns when folks tried to return. Now the company is accepting returns “no questions asked” after media attention forced their hand. • Tensions Escalate in Canada with Truckers/Protesters: A weeks-long blockade in the Canadian capital has led to almost 200 arrests and prolonged suffering for businesses caught in the middle of protests against Covid restrictions. Canadian authorities froze the finances associated with certain people and companies believed to be involved in the ongoing protests in Ottawa. Is this the working-class uprising? • Catholic Church Meltdown Over Pronoun Usage: An Arizona priest resigned after using the incorrect pronoun when performing baptisms, last rites, etc. Instead of using “I” statements that invoke God, he used “we” statements that invoke community. The Church is saying those ceremonies… are now null void. Now further priests are coming out saying that they also used the wrong pronoun and it’s a big debacle. • Love is Blind S2 Discussion: this season y’all is spicy!!!
