Workplace health benefits support moments of care that count, like seeing clearly for the first time, finding relief from chronic pain, or getting the prescription you rely on. And when multiplied across all Canadians with health benefits, these moments add up to millions of Canadians staying healthier for longer, equaling a stronger health care system for all of us. Thanks again for joining in. Let's begin. Hello and thank you guys for joining in to yet again another week of the Real Women Chronicles podcast. I go by the name of Coach T for those of you who do not know who I am.

I am your virtual life and relationship coach. I like to keep these podcasts for the most part, short and sweet and to the point just to motivate you through your week guys. So this week, as we're gearing towards the end of the year, as we're getting ready to begin 2022, I know a lot of you out there have new year resolutions. I know I do.

I do my visual board, my vision board, each and every year. I always have my resolutions that I want to accomplish for the year. And I like to write things down because I really feel like by writing it down, you're really putting it out in the atmosphere and manifesting the things that you want. And I've learned by doing that, by doing these vision boards and just even if you don't do a vision board, by just writing down the things that you want to accomplish in life in the new year, it really, really does move mountains because you're actually putting something in front of your face that's telling the universe and this is what you want.

And so that being said, as we're gearing towards this new year, many of us have these new year resolutions, God let me on the topic, on this week's topic that I want to motivate you on. And I've entitled this podcast, Maybe It's You. And I think it is so important that going into this new season with all of the changes that we're witnessing around the world, that we each and every one of us really take an individual self-check on the things that we need to work on. We are all guilty of pointing the finger.

It's so easy to identify as everything that somebody else needs to do right. It is easy to do that. It is so easy to identify everything that somebody else is also doing wrong. Or everything that someone else needs to change.

But let me tell you what's difficult for many of us. It's difficult to criticize yourself. It's not only difficult to criticize yourself, but it's really difficult to make a commitment to yourself, to make the necessary changes that you know you need to change. The hardest thing in life is fixing you.

That's the hardest thing. But see fixing you and becoming a better version of yourself is always necessary. I don't care how long you live. There is always something in you that God can make better.

There is always something. And I think that he purposely made us like that. You can never get bored with yourself when you really focus on fixing the things about you that need to be fixed because none of us are ever perfect. And none of us have all the answers.

I hate to buzz your bubble, but you are not always correct. You are not always the correct one in that dispute that you have with your partner. You are not always the correct one at your job or in your business. You are not always the correct one.

You have flaws as well. And making it a priority to work on those flaws is essential. It's essential to each and every one of our lives. I can tell you one thing about myself is that I constantly, sometimes I can be over critical on the things that I want to perfect, even though I know perfection doesn't exist within myself.

Because I know that God did not make me perfect. I know that there are still triggers for me and things that I have to work on when it comes to, I don't know just different aspects in life, different aspects in life. And I encourage you this week to do the same. As we enter into this new year, really evaluate the things that you want to work on within yourself.

Don't worry about what they're doing. What that other person is doing right? Wrong. All right.

Focus on you. Focus on growing into that better version of you. And by doing this, listen, there's a level of self-love in this that I want you to acknowledge. I'm not asking you to go into a season where you're downing yourself about every single flaw that you make.

Self-love involves self-checking. Self-love involves spending time with yourself and making yourself a priority and getting better at the things that you want to get better at. That's self-love. And I think many people when they're critiquing themselves and trying to birth this better version of themselves, they often will get down on themselves because they may not be that meek quiet person at this moment in time that they want to be.

So they start comparing. That's not what I'm challenging you to do. I'm challenging you to grow in self-love. And in growing in self-love, you can start checking yourself and focusing on the things within you that may be drawing certain people and situations to you.

See, this is the thing. God will use situations in people to grow us, to really, really grow us. There was a quote that went around years ago and it talked about God doesn't always change the situation because He sent the situation to change you. And I still remember that quote to this day because it's so true.

Every situation that you get yourself into or every situation that you fall into is not always meant to be fixed. Sometimes it is all in how we're looking at that situation and the growth that needs to take place within you. But if you're always right and you're never critiquing yourself and you feel like your ideology and your way of thinking is the only way of thinking and everybody should act like you and everybody should think like you, you are setting yourself up for failure, failure in relationships and failure and your goals and failure in your purpose. There's room for all of us to grow continuously, continuously, and not allowing yourself to grow, not allowing yourself to be critiqued.

Oftentimes will block your blessings. You will be out here blocking your own blessings because you're not open to the fact that maybe it's you. Maybe you have been pushing things and opportunities and people away. Maybe you have been prematurely cutting people off because you're afraid of being hurt.

I know I went through that for many years and every now and again it creeps back up again. Maybe you're allowing fear to keep you in places that you shouldn't be or keep you from places that you should be going to. Maybe it's you. Maybe you're allowing those generational curses and those things that you learned as a kid.

Those things that now need to be unlearned keep you in bondage. Bontage. But here's the thing if you're not open and willing to accept the fact that maybe it is you who needs to change. Maybe it's you who needs to unlearn some of these bad habits that were taught to you.

If you're not open to that then some of the things that you want may not come to pass because you're not allowing God to have his way, to have his way with you and to continuously mold you into being a better person. Be open to change always. Embrace change. It's scary.

But embrace change. Embrace the growth process. I don't give you a 14 or 84. There's always room for us to learn.

There's always room for us to grow but we must be open to it. And every now and again when you face difficult situations that you're in with people or even situations, ask yourself the question, is it me? What part am I playing in this outcome? What part am I playing in this constant argument, this constant disagreements?

What part am I playing in these toxic relationships? What part are you playing? Because everybody plays a part. Okay.

That being said, that will conclude my spell for the week. If you are in need of Life Coach and be sure to log on to the Real Women's website. The website is actually theRWCpodcast.com. Again, that's theRWCpodcast.com.

As always, guys, let's go ahead and close out and pray your Father God. I just thank you for allowing us to come together yet again another week, Father God. Be sure, Father God, to mold us, to grow us, Father God. Help us to become the better version of ourselves that you need us to be, Father God.

Help your light shine through us in every way possible, Father God. Help us to let go of the old ideas that are only holding us back and embrace change, Father God. Continue to work on us, Father God. We praise you.

We honor you. We glorify your holy name. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Until next week, y'all, I love y'all. Have a great week and have a wonderful Christmas.
