Gayle Gillit, MSN, RNC-NIC, C-ELBW, NTMN-C obtained her nursing degree in 1988 from the University of Texas Pan American. A life-long student, she has spent a large part of her adult life either in formal education or pursuing certification. In addition to her current post-nominals, she has certifications as a Neonatal Massage Instructor, Level I Bereavement Facilitator, Resolve through Sharing Bereavement Coordinator, Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor, as well as degrees from the University of Washington, Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Anthropology, and from Gonzaga University with a Master of Science in Nursing. She has held many staff and leadership roles in the perinatal, pediatric and hospice specialties and always returns to the NICU bedside where she most enjoys empowering parents.
