Michael Cain is a musician, writer, and educator. He has taught at many top universities such as Eastman School of Music, The New School, and The New England Conservatory of Music. He currently teaches at Brandon University in Manitoba, Canada. He was a long time collaborator with legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette - they have several albums together. He has also worked with musicians such as Bobby McFerrin, Ravi Coltrane, Christian McBride, Me'Shell Ndegge'Ocello, Regina Carter, Steve Coleman, John Scofield, Stanley Turrentine, Joshua Redman, and many others.
