When most practitioners see a tongue-tied baby, they also recognize areas of tightness.  They rarely see the weak side.  Carol Gray has been a practitioner and teacher on CST for decades and focuses on bringing balance to the Boyd, loosening a tight side but always bringing strength to the weak side for symmetry.  Katie Oshita and Carol Gray discuss how fetal constraint and early head engagement lead to these patterns in babies.  Listen here for more.Podcast Guest: Carol Gray has been a therapeutic bodyworker for more than 36 years.  She specializes in Craniosacral Therapy for pregnant, birthing, postpartum parents and infants.  Carol teaches perinatal and infant craniosacral therapy to bodyworkers, birth attendants, and other health professionals.  She attended births as a doula for 35 years and as a home birth midwife for 12 years.  Carol has spent decades developing hands-on, movement and strengthening techniques to enhance function and mobility for pregnant people and infants.  The goal is to give babies more room to develop, grow, and get born.  Post-birth, her role is to help babies fine-tune their optimal development.Carol is convinced that if parents are appropriately supported in growing, birthing and nurturing their babies, their lives will improve.  When parents' lives improve, their children's health improves.  Healthy children grow up to be healthier adults who create healthier communities and a saner, more peaceful world.Podcast Host: Katie Oshita, RN, BSN, IBCLC has over 25 years of experience working in Maternal-Infant Medicine.  While Katie sees clients locally in western WA, Katie is also a telehealth lactation consultant believing that clients anywhere in the world deserve the best care possible for their needs.  Being an expert on TOTs, Katie helps families everywhere navigate breastfeeding struggles, especially when related to tongue tie or low supply.  Katie is also passionate about finding the root cause of symptoms, using Functional Medicine practices to help client not just survive, but truly thrive.
