Send us Fan MailMeet the award-winning wildlife biologist and conservationist, Sanjay Gubbi who works extensively on the conservation of large carnivores like tigers and leopards, proposing conservation policies for their protection, and minimizing human-wildlife conflict. The PhD holder in Leopard Ecology and Conservation has won the Whitley Award (Green Oscars) in 2017 and the Co-Existence Award in 2019 and he has authored several books and articles in English and Kannada. Through his organization Holematthi Nature Foundation, Sanjay and his team are working tirelessly to help conserve and protect the wildscapes of Karnataka, working closely with locals and the government to provide alternatives for forest-based resources to local communities, conduct outreach programmes to improve awareness on wildlife conservation, and mitigating human-wildlife conflict.
