Ep. 135: PMDD: The Jekyll and Hyde Condition

from The L Podcast · host Dr. Liz Kopco

TW: Mention of suicidal thoughts. PMDD almost took everything from me this year. I was diagnosed with PMDD in July, and at the age of 33, I had never even heard of it. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a SEVERE form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) that can impact daily life. It can affect up to 5% of individuals of childbearing age, yet so few actually know about it. I'm sharing my diagnosis story and journey so far with PMDD to not only help raise awareness but remind people that what they might be going through is because of their hormones. You are wanted in this world. You are loved. You are not alone. Learn more about PMDD at womensmentalhealth.org.
