Yo guys people what up man, I've never done this before you know so we gonna see how this rocks I'm actually Driving in a car. I got a busy day. I had to make a quick run in between meetings and um I just wanted to talk to you all about some of the things that's going on and so yeah You know this is unedited. This is literally a quick take me driving in a car recording this on my phone So let's see how all y'all turns out you might hear some background stuff.
Don't judge me. You know I'm saying not to charge Any way, um, yeah, I want to discuss like I saw some stuff. I'm coming out about Nicki Minaj and I made some post about it You know a couple people responded agreeing in disagreeing with me with I don't know y'all know that like you could disagree with me And it's not the end of the world like we not we don't have to hate each other because we see something differently But I figured I would just pick it which all real quick about how I'm thinking through it and um, you know If you've been listening to the show lately, I told y'all I was gonna start Talking about some of the things that I've you know just haven't just haven't talked about this stuff up to this point and stayed away from it This takes a lot out of you trying to filter through on the logic and philosophies that people are applying and trying to address them and Communicate your position while also listening to others like it could be a challenging You know situation, but so real quick Nicki Minaj situation You know, I guess you and let me say this like I don't follow pop culture for real I'll see stuff though just from like you know social media my friends my star sharing stuff So this isn't even about the issue with itself. So this isn't about me agreeing with or disagreeing with Nicki I want to make that clear and also don't have all of the details behind Everything that was said and neither am I gonna go look for it because what I'm addressing is a little different than like those details But if you have a follow I guess Nicki Minaj didn't go to like the Met Gala or Gala And you know, that's a big event for celebrities and they get dressed up in interesting fashion and I don't know what really happens There I just know that people typically wear things that seem odd and they make it, you know They're around on social media probably from the designers and things like that.
I don't really watch it I'm not into that thing, but it's popular so Nicki couldn't go and I guess a lot of it was behind You know things that are going on around now with the vaccine and there's like you have to be vaccinated to go or something and all of those You know different nuances which that's enough topic for another show But you know, she ended up coming out and I guess talking about why you know She didn't why she's uncomfortable being vaccinated and has something to do with like a story From someone it sounds like something to do with infertility something with someone as she knows or whatever and I guess a lot of people You know, it sounds stupid to people right? I'm not here to address whether it sounds stupid or not That's not really my place, but I guess it sounds stupid to people what she's saying, right? And it's like you know, it seems like it's laughable to people. All right That's fine.
You could disagree with people or whatever, but you know people are going off on her like, you know She's make like their like new stations are talking about her And I just wanted to you know really address cancel culture in this idea of and maybe this isn't canceling her Or maybe it's just making a fool right over right tearing her down kicking her watch. She's how okay She said something that I either disagree with or I said it's stupid And so you know I laugh at her I make a fool out of her if you listen to this show This is something I'll say it and maybe you missed it because I've only said it in passive I think we spend a lot of time like social media has Kind of is a word I'm looking for conditioned us to like um We're different type of people we just like we laugh at serious stuff. We make a joke out of anything We pull out our phones to embarrass people and what we really do honestly is we treat each other like we're not human So it's like I'm in a store this guy's dressed a certain way I'm gonna invade his privacy I'm gonna videotape him make a meme out of it. You know people are fighting somewhere you videotape it We laugh at it.
Oh this person failing bro. Hey face is funny You know the internet has just really changed our character in my opinion. It's really made us interesting Man, I gotta oh there's a spam call coming in All right, I didn't know that spam call guess is pretty cool that I could start recording to start back on this phone I never done that um, but where was I? Talking Nicki Minaj talking you know green disagreeing for tilly sorry that phone call me lose my thought Ultimately what I'm saying though is that the world has made us interesting like we we are kind of heartless You know what I'm saying as a society we're becoming more and more cold towards each other and not look I'm not trying to spoil the party.
I'm not saying that I don't laugh at memes and things aren't funny But I'm just saying some of the stuff is like man like we just we willing to tear people down like so easily to me And it's like it's interesting that it happens in such a sensitive to society Like we pick and choose these topics that we're gonna be sensitive on and it's like yo when these topics you can't you can't disagree? Or you can't laugh at or you can't see anything but anything else is free game right? So long story short, I'm seeing where Nicki Minaj is being talked about laughed at disagree with About her position on vaccination, which seems again It seems to have something to do with fertility and I'm being concerned about the impact of these vaccines have on fertility now Yeah, I'm not a medical doctor. I'm not trying to be a doctor I'm not here to be pro or anti-vaccine.
That's not what I'm addressing right? This could be listened to from anyone any side, you know, I respect your Right and your freedom to be able to make a decision on you know Which you put in your body and how you think through that for yourself, but here's the thing though It's interesting to me that like people are This missing it and all right. Let's say she's wrong, right? Cuz I'm not here to talk about whether she's right or wrong Let's say she's wrong, but this is really someone and I don't know her situation But let's say she really is concerned about infertility now infertility is a really major problem Right now and there are a lot of people couples me and women who want to have children, right?
I can tell you that you know me and my wife been trying to have a kid for 15 years So, you know, this is a very sensitive and important topic and there are Drugs and medications that can have an impact a negative impact on fertility So at the very least if you are a person that's trying to have a baby You might be even more hyper concerned about how a medication or something you're putting in your body will have an impact on that That's number one But I guess maybe if you know we can laugh at people if as long as it's not our problem as long as that You know, it's not something that we have to think more about and it's not just as simple as like Oh, you know, like un-eject this in my body because everybody's saying do it and without thinking about the long-term implications, right? Here's the other thing because I know that everyone is talking about the science behind it and the doctors and things now again I don't deal in conspiracy. I read the CDC a lot like a lot I was reading yesterday actually I try to see what they say about things because if that's the if that's what we're calling a central authority on this issue Okay, cool. Whether I agree or disagree with that position.
Let me let me go to them And see what they're saying and let me now leverage that to come to my conclusions on some of the things that I'm saying So when I look at the CDC, you know number one They themselves is listed on the CDC like we do not yet know all of the long-term implications of the vaccine I'm paraphrasing now But maybe I'll be able to go to that site I'm driving now and kind of quote it to you on the next episode or you know something like that But this is on the CDC. They're also hundreds of research and development It's a word I'm looking for sorry taking place to Man, I wish I could find this word in my mind Experiments like so there's one of Arizona for instance where they're they took like 300 healthcare workers in their part of this Man, it's an experiment whatever you know what I'm trying to say like they're a part of this study Right where they're gonna study them for a certain amount of time I don't remember it all but I read through it and it's like you know They're trying to understand how does the vaccine affect us long-term even I believe the CDC themselves or some some new site quoted in response to Nick Minaj they put on like Yahoo or something a headline I said hey studies show that there is there is no evidence that shows that there's any impact or harmful, you know, you know implication or infertility so for me if I step back from all that I Look at that headline and I said that's interesting they said there's no evidence Well, is it possible that there's no evidence because with any scientific research Please understand scientific research does not happen over a matter of days months weeks, right? Scientific research takes years literal years to come to Some sort of conclusions that are not even conclusions themselves because the entire concept of science, right? Of course, this is what I learned in market research back in around 2000 and something when I was in college My market research class.
This is where we really learned about Really how to approach science right in research and one of the quotes that they use is there are no truths They're just lesser false to it. So and I forget who that's from if that's like Nietzsche or some, you know Philosopher, but that's that's really what science is based on it that there is no such thing as the truth What does that mean? It means that science is what they want to do is go and continue to study to prove what's right or wrong? So that's why you can see commercials come on and say hey Have you or a family member taking this kill 10 years ago?
You may have a lawsuit settlement is because as studies where in research has developed They may have learned new things later, right? This is how this is just science in general and I'm no scientist I'm no professional. This is just what I learned in business school from a marketing research perspective about science Okay, so I'm not a professional I don't necessarily know everything but I do understand some basic ideas of what they strive to do in science So when something comes out they do the initial trials and then they have to do more trials to see what what happens now Let's change the variables We you know study healthcare workers that you know We're vaccinated fully then we study this group of people in a different region or a different climate and then as years in time go by They develop research now y'all asking like what's the point of this your man? What you trying to say what I'm trying to say is that the headline says there's no evidence yet And the word yet wasn't there but you got to understand when you're reading this stuff There's no evidence it does not mean that these vaccines are it's just impossible that they impact in fertility And I'm not saying they do I'm just speaking to the topic But what it says is that we have not yet found the evidence which could mean the million things It could mean that we're still studying which they are right if you do any basic level of research you will understand that Whether you're for against the vaccinations, right?
Again, I'm not here to discuss that there are tests continually Happening as they want to learn with the long-term implications are so my only concern about how we approach these things and most of us who talking about this We're not scientists, right? But we're approaching it in a way like hey, you're stupid like the doctor said it doesn't affect that No, they don't know yet. They're saying they haven't found in in the initial research They haven't found it right that doesn't mean that it's impossible later to find something because we're operating on a really really Accelerated time frame like we're doing something in six months in a year that takes four to five years typically So and I don't know like will there be new learnings and findings as we go I would imagine that they are a positive or negative they may find that it's even more effective than they originally thought right? You see those kind of studies coming out so now you're like talk about that But here's my overall point may all of us will cancel me now if these are rules cancel me now You know, this is why I've never been a person that wanted to chase fame This is why I have a song I'll play it at all I can't play it because I'm doing this on my phone But there's a song I have called run from fame I maybe played on the next episode or just search J will music JWIL MUSIC JWIL MUSIC all one word together and just talk JWIL music run from fame Google it whatever and you'll check out this is a song idea five six seven years ago And this is why I don't chase fame.
This is why for me 75% of the things that I do Are behind the scenes because I don't want to be a slave to people and it's unfortunate to me that like even me talking about this Right? I'm just a person that's trying to think through this just like everyone else trying to trust God trying to make the right decisions Trying not to judge everyone else even if I don't agree with them, right? Because my major issue with the Nicki Minaj thing was that you know What about when she's dancing and stripping on stage and showing off her body and we're promoting that the kids and we had no problem with it We actually probably would have no problem if she came to the Met Gala half Nicki We have no problem with the lyrics that she's put out. I'm not a Nicki Minaj fan by the way I've only heard one of her songs and that was something I think she did with like Tasha cives or something that somebody sent it to me and I listen to it I don't listen to Nicki Minaj's music.
I've never heard it. I literally I've never heard another verse from her like so I don't even know I just know what I see from afar I kind of know what she kind of stands for image wise and it's interesting to me that like I could disagree with that image But you never heard me say anything bad about Nicki you never heard me tear her down or you know attack her character Who's the central authority on what's right or wrong? Does Nicki have to agree with me and it's okay Does she have to agree with you who decides if there's an issue like you know Let's use last year the presidential election and 49% of the country feels one way 51% of the country feels another way You know, how do we silence the 49% that's millions of people? You know, I just think we're in interesting times where we think hey my way is the best way and I'm just telling y'all I just want to kick you what you're on the same man cancel me now Like if those are the rules I just don't want to be a slave to anyone if you You know if you cancel me on this show, you don't you know you ridicule me or something because you don't agree with something I said I'm just a human being trying to think through I'm not perfect I'm just like you I don't go around canceling people all the time because I know that I'm not perfect I know that I'm trusting God.
I know that I have flaws You know, I just think it's a very self-righteous position to go around canceling everyone canceling everybody feels a lot Like casting the first stone to me when I look at the Bible and it's like hey, you know cast this stone if you are without seeing Right if you've never said something that people didn't agree with or you never said something you're not the most professional Like you're not an expert on it, but you have an opinion, right? And so we live in this world where it's like Man like do I get the judge? Do I get to tell Nick? You don't post a half-naked pictures because I think they're offensive I think they negatively impact young girls lives it could cause some people to go out in half six or like There's a lot of things that could come from what celebrities do I disagree with a lot of things celebrity do celebrities do but I'm not a central authority I mean little Nas X does some very interesting things to me from what I see but you know, you know, I guess it's okay Like but who decides what's okay and what's not like?
I mean little Nas X sold some Nike's or something like human blood in them Like I mean you could just Google that does like that's okay. He's still is doing everything He's doing he still has his endorsements and things so and this is just me speaking for myself My own opinion I'm just saying like cancel me now like because I don't want to be a slave to anyone and to the public like and this is why I tell People to run from fame because and what and enslave might sound like a strong word But I think that's what it is slavery is pretty much. Hey, you know, you're in my control You do what I want you to do when I want you to do it and When you when you go outside of that, I reprimand you, you know, I discipline you get back in position slave It's okay for you to dress half naked. It's okay for you to be a stripper It's okay for you to leave other, you know, millions of young black girls and girls period down a sexual path alcohol like this is all cool Because you're my slave you're in chains, but the moment you step outside of that.
Whoa wait a minute. Oh wait You I disagree with that. So now you have too many fans and too many followers to have that opinion There are too many people following you. That's what they're saying.
Well, wait a minute Who who gets the decide so on a slave if I have followers if I'm happy if I have followers in it who the Bible's clearly not the authority The moral authority in our lives anymore as a country as a society What is who's deciding this? That's my question to you. Who's deciding is it you? I'm not guy I don't look man.
If you disagree with this episode, you know, we can still be cool Like I posted yesterday we can still be friends and disagree But my fear is that like they'll be people that don't like this they'll they'll disagree with me on this and then And it's like what now? Oh because I have a podcast and I have thousands of listeners are he's you're like, no I'm like there's two sides to the calling there's some people who think this way there's others I think this way if we silence the other side do we actually get to the truth we don't and that's my problem with the way we Logically approach things is really illogical in my opinion It's just that the moment that we have an issue with something we cancel people we we ridicule them and so I'm just saying man Cancel me now. I go ahead and do enough save yourself the time the effort to energy Cancel me now if those are the rules I can never live up to your to your standard in this world where you know We throw five topics out. I don't get to feel different about one of them I don't get to say hey for me and in my situation I have to pay closer attention because there have been medications or things in a past that evidence has shown that they impact negatively infertility Why do I think I mean it's like things like they taking all the and now we get all this stuff and no antibiotics in the chicken Non-GMO wait a minute y'all didn't tell me when to win in there, right?
We did we get the antibiotics nobody said that was there but then over time studies are shown and they say hey This negatively impacts this so we go in a keto diet diet. Hey this negatively impacts this so we go in a South Beach diet Hey, this negatively impacts this is what we learn so you do you sit up sideways like I mean there's so many things that we constantly learn But yet we talk about these things as if they're absolute and so that's all I wanted to study all today Man is like be careful as you're talking about these things from an absolute perspective because then you put yourself in a position where yeah Like years later they come back and say oh wow what we gonna do when we find out there are side effects or if there are things like Then who's responsible right? This is why I'm a believer in the fact that you need to think through study research for yourself and make their own decision right, but you don't get to monitor other people's free speech and their ability to speak about what their concerns are you need to learn how to critically think for yourself and Man, we can't go around canceling our silence and people simply because we disagree Or eventually I'll tell you this you don't get hit with the stone None of us can live up to the standard I know I can't cancel me now cast the stone at me now because I can't cast the stone at you You know I can't do it man. My name is on the stone So cancel me now if those are the rule and I still love y'all.
I love everybody I hope that we continue to grow as we think through these things I'm speaking about these things now because I understand that the importance of freedom logic The ability to critically think through what I believe I don't want to be forced to drink the Kool-Aid and I don't know the flavor So hopefully this resonates man.
