Ep. 137: Dana Morris
Welcome, Dana Morris, a Jack of many visual art trades and disciplines! Dnan Lives on Buzzard's Bay. A great deal of his current photography is based on images of the bay and Vineyard Sound. "Light is a critical element in all of my paintings and photographs, and I return to the same locations, so have created decades of views from the same point, in different weather, seasons, and times of the day," Dana says. He attended Framingham State College for Fine Arts. Dana studied with Fosco Picchi, Arthur Mazmanian, and Steven Durkee. Dana Morris has been a glass cutter and engraver working for Pairpoint Crystal, America's oldest glass company which moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1870 and became synonymous with the city. The In-Focus Podcasts are up close and personal conversations with the makers, performers, supporters, and cultural impresarios of the remarkable creative community of South Coast Massachusetts including New Bedford, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Westport, and beyond.
