If your business outpaces you, eventually you will hit a plateau and you won’t be able to grow at the rate you grew in the beginning. And the mistake that many people make is in thinking that the next step in their growth is a tactical step, like improving their copywriting or running Facebook ads. But this isn’t necessarily true. Often, the truth is that they have spent so much time and money and energy on improving their skill set that they have neglected to build up their leadership skills, so even when their business is at a place where it could continue to grow, it can’t because the business owner doesn’t know how to be the CEO of a bigger business! I invest in my personal growth over business strategies, and this decision has served me time and time again. Business strategies are so much more attractive because they’re so tactical.
