I Couldn’t Afford Shoes as a Kid. Now I Own a Sneaker Store. | Ep.139: #OnTheStacks in the blu door studio with Isaac Mensah, Entrepreneur and Owner of Gemini Kicks.   He didn’t have material possessions as a kid, and some days there was only enough food for him and his siblings so his mom would go without eating dinner. Isaac credits her for his drive, character, and success from seeing how hard she worked and the sacrifices she made during his childhood.   While he was serving in the Navy overseas, he began buying Jordan sneakers and shipping them back home to Pennsylvania with the idea of eventually reselling them for a profit. Sneakers became an obsession. His love for sneakers and entrepreneurial spirit now allows him to make a living from something he once couldn’t afford.   We also talk about Sneaker Culture and the impact it has on business, society, and one’s self esteem.   Want to watch this episode?
