Ep 14: A New Ground
from The Todd Donald Show Hosted by Afternoon Tea Label
Kitchener’s A New Ground is a powerhouse duo, a mix of folk, pop, rock and more, sounds! They blend guitar, cello and vocals on stage, a symphonic blend on record, and off-stage they’re two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. I met them a few years before this podcast record and wanted to chat with them for a while now. We chatted about the band, recording, touring, the local scene and a whole lot more, and I felt super priviledged to step into their studio ‘Frontier Music’ where they record, teach and live. Chat with & performances (“Parasite” & “Get Close”) by A New Ground recorded at Frontier Music in Kitchener on December 16th, 2018. Voiceover by Milo Axelrod, theme music by William Chernoff, piano outro by JP Sunga, everything else by Todd Donald. Presented in part, by Afternoon Tea. afternoontealabel.com
