Ep 14 - Champions.
from The Loyal Sons Hosted by The Loyal Sons
Welcome back to The Loyal Sons podcast (@TheLoyalSons): a safe, sun-shiny place for your ACC Champion Pitt Panthers fix. 1:53 - 37:59 - Championship Recap. Oh my God, we actually did it… Let The Sons take you on a journey through the sights and sounds of that fateful night in Charlotte, including Dylan’s gallant odyssey to rescue the Kenny Pickett cutout from stadium security. We also dive into the game, which feels equally important. 38:33 - 50:05 - Mad Online. Outrage poured in from every corner of the football world after Kenny Pickett executed that elderly person at mid-field. Wait, what? He only faked a slide? God, I hate the internet… 50:32 - 58:34 - Heisman Watch. Kenny was named a Heisman Finalist, punching his ticket to NYC after pulling off the purest “Heisman Moment” College Football has seen this season. Will it be enough to overcome Bryce Young’s absolute clinic against Georgia? Or hold off Aidan Hutchinson’s late surge? …probably not. But still pretty cool! 58:54 - 1:06:16 - A Look Ahead. Our first impressions of the Dec. 30 matchup against Michigan State at the 2021 Sugar Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia. 1:06:44 - 1:31:47 - EMERGENCY SEGMENT. We interrupt our regularly-scheduled Wednesday night to discuss Mark Whipple’s sudden(ish[?]) exit from the Pitt program, potential suitors for the Offensive Coordinator opening, and the possibility that we’ve watched Kenny play his last game in Blue & Gold. Hail, Loyal Sons of Pittsburgh.
