In a bit of a new format, we gathered a crack panel to discuss the past, present, and future of golf in Ohio. Ohio golf often flies under the radar. However, it’s history is rich and deep. Our panel tells tales and highlights what makes Ohio golf so great. The panelists share stories about Jack Nicklaus first meeting Arnold Palmer on the Sylvania CC driving range and Ben Curtis winning the Ohio Am by 17 shots. We dive into the evolution and structure of Ohio golf’s various associations, the courses and events everyone should have on their shortlist, to the deep talent pool in today's Ohio amateur scene.
