Do you know that Cricket is the world’s second most popular sport and the most popular sport in the Indian subcontinent? Introduced by the British in India, the first ever game of Cricket was played in 1721 that is almost 299 years back My dad tells me that when they were kids, they used to sleep, breathe and play cricket, sometimes even in the dark when the power went off. Many cricket lovers were sad this week because one of India’s most successful and most loved captains, Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement. Fondly called Captain Cool, Dhoni is regarded as one of the best sports leaders in the world. When I started reading the news articles about him, I realised what a great leader he was.
