Ep. 14: Your Effort is Blocking God’s Action

Regularly, we have to get honest with ourselves about the ways in which we cling to ideas we don’t actually support with our Actions. Unfortunately, many would love to live a life of ease and enjoyment, but believe they have to work hard now and enjoy later. And it is also necessary for us to understand that action ISN’T work. Action is what happens when you wake in the morning and give your body a nice big stretch. Action is organic and intuitive. This is what we are called to observe or perform. The organic, intuitive ‘action’ that originates from Source within us is all the ‘action’ we are required to allow in our lives. We’ve become conditioned to TAKE action which is just a misguided attempt at doing God’s job. Where are you genuinely inspired? Do you feel a nudge to go somewhere? Call someone? Listen to something? Do you allow yourself to be patient while you wait for God’s innate action to guide you or must you be at the helm “taking action” to prove your deservedness? There are ways God’s principle of action works in us. It is not a mystery, it simply needs to be brought to our awareness. Effort and Action are very different and produce completely different things in our life. One leads to exhaustion the other to prosperity. The Prayer Maven is a reader-supported publication.
