In conjunction with Mental health week, our Executive Director, David Kelly sits down with our Healthcare & Life Sciences Chair and Committee member, Sigal Atzmon, from Medix Global and John Ntatsopoulos from Expat Insurance. Our speakers discuss on the perception of mental healthcare and how the insurance and medical field can further improve awareness and address the stigma around it. With increased awareness of mental health conditions, more people are looking for insurance plans that cover mental health issues. Although some insurers are witnessing an increase in demand for insurance policies that include mental health coverage, industry analysts say such options are still limited and are often inadequate. However, our Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee believe that there is progress in raising awareness and that we should work together as a nation to make Singapore a better place for mental health.
