In Psalm 144, we see that God trains us for the war, gives shelter from the war and blesses us beyond measure in so many ways. While happiness is an emotion, joy is a choice and blessings are a reality in the life of the believer. And for the joy he gives and the blessings he bestows, can we not find happiness in them?
